Life Goes On

Tyler and I are now settling into a more sedentary pace in Hoi An, Vietnam, famous for lots of tailors. You can get custom-made clothes here really inexpensively. In addition, the old part of town is historic and beautiful, a UNESCO-protected site. But as fun as it is to pick out clothes and fabrics and be measured, we're missing a lot at home. Since our departure, we've missed:

* Two weddings (congrats, Matt & Christina and Jimmy & Breanne!)
* One engagement (congrats Stephanie & Patrick!)
* My mom's birthday
* My father-in-law's birthday
* Mother's Day

And today my brother is graduating with his doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Berkeley after five years of hard work and research. Congratulations, Tim! Though we can't be there in person, we're cheering you from Vietnam!
